About Rollin Kocsis
Rollin Kocsis was raised in South Bend, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University with honors and a degree in art education. After graduation from college, he moved to Memphis and began to teach visual arts for the Memphis City Schools. For over 37 years, he taught junior high and high school general and advanced art, photography, printmaking, pottery, fibers, and yearbook production. Rollin attended Memphis State Univeristy (now the University of Memphis) and earned two advanced degrees: a Master of Arts in Teaching Art Education (1976) and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting (1991). Rollin, I am surprised that there are no glowing posts about this painting. I love it. Microcosm XI shows details that for some artists may seem tedious to do BUT after watching you paint on your video from your website, I can assure everyone that this was not tedious (as in difficult or boring) for you. I am not saying that this is easy. but you seem to paint with ease. This, another masterpiece, is one of my favorites. Shine on, aew
