Rollin Kocsis is currently the interim director of the Beverly and Sam Ross Gallery at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN.
Rollin Kocsis is from South Bend, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana University with honors and a degree in art education. After graduation from college, he moved to Memphis and began to teach visual arts for the Memphis City Schools. For over 37 years, he taught junior high and high school general and advanced art, photography, printmaking, pottery, fibers, and yearbook production.
Rollin attended Memphis State Univeristy (now the University of Memphis) and earned two advanced degrees: a Master of Arts in Teaching Art Education (1976) and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting (1991).
Rollin retired from teaching in 2009 and now he works as director of the Beverly and Sam Ross Gallery at Christian Brothers University, Memphis, TN. He continues to create art - paintings on canvas and silk.
